Bring the family, get informed and inspired at the Weston Climate Group's movie series this summer! We'll be screening three environment films that highlight how one individual's action can make a difference in caring for the Earth.
June's documentary, "Taking Root - The Vision of Wangari Maathai," tells the story of Kenyan Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Wangara Maathai whose simple act of planting trees grew into a nationwide movement that safeguarded the environment, protected human rights and defended democracy. Join us on Monday, June 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Weston Public Library.
[Looking ahead: Mark your calendar for July 20 when we'll be screening a film about Rachel Carson's love for the natural world, "A Sense of Wonder."]
