July Library film, "Kilowatt Ours", attended by 25 people. Discussionfollowing film included remarks by selectman, Michael Harrity, reporting on excellent work in the Weston Buildings Department and DPW. We've invited them to come to speak with to the Climate Group in September.
August film, "An Inconvenient Truth", screening is August 8, 7pm. Come at 6:15pm for action planning and ice cream.
Kilowatt Hours Challenge. Ideas and action needed to widen the community campaign. Households, churches, schools, local businesses all have potential to reduce kilowatt hours. How can we sign them up using the excellent format and tips that Debbie Slotpole has created and has posted on the website? Please send along your ideas.

Roy Chatalbash's Town Crier article last week reported on NStar's renewable energy option for its Massachusetts customers. The program is called NSTAR Green and it will allow customers to purchase half or all their electricity directly from wind farms in the Northeast. NStar will begin enrolling customers in the fall with service beginning in January.
Leonardo Dicaprico's new movie,"11th Hour" will be released August 19 in NYC and San Francisco. It will be at the Waltham Landmark Embassy Theater on August 31. See the trailer at http://www.leonardodicaprio.com/
