WESTON "Step It Up, Congress! Cut Carbon 80% by 2050"

  • Table and signs on table
  • Sign up sheets for e-mail addresses for Weston Climate Group
  • 100 free fluorescent bulbs - Join our E-mail list and receive a free fluorescent light bulb
  • Carbon and Cars exercise from Science Fair: calculate carbon costs around town
  • Book marks with emission saving tips or a hand out of tips
  • Federal and state legislatures' goals for emission reduction for this session on a one page hand out
  • Signs – Banner: "Step It Up Congress!" -Weston Climate Group website (banner)
  • Lose 3,000 lbs. in 30 Days with a carbon diet
  • Climate Flicks at Weston Library (visit website for schedule)
Activities at the Transfer Station (Dump-sign will be furnished)
Time: 8:00 am –11:00 am
  • Holding Small Signs on stick with Step It Up and Weston Climate Group
  • Distributing one page handout

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

  • PHOTOGRAPHER: to take photos and post on "Step it Up" website and print to take to elected officials' local offices. Also use in media (web and newspaper)
  • TABLES - PLEASE e-mail me if you have an hour on April14th, and state when you can be available. We can use 2-3 people at the dump, and as many as possible at the Omni.
  • Current volunteers: Donna, Habib, Joan, Debbie, Shirley and some maybes. Please let me know the hours you would like to staff the 2 activities.
